Hi, I am
Ann Howarth, a photographer based in the UK.
Ann is an experienced photographer who is passionate about discovering nature and how we can express our daily life in an unique and experimental way.
Ann Howarth was born in Stockport and has been living in the Heatons for almost 50 years. In 1996 Ann enrolled in a GCSE photography course and continued to study photography from there onwards. In 2006 Ann received a 1st Class Honours Degree in Photography from MMU. Since then she has worked on a number of photography projects, and has also shared her skills and knowledge with a range of photographic groups and societies. In recent years she has also volunteered at The Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester and has ran several workshops. She continues to be an active member of the photographic community.
After years of work with cameraless photography, during the Covid lockdown Ann began experimenting more with the cyanotype process. The work you see on this website is the result of hundreds of these experiments.
